Dentist check up

The horses had the dentist came over the weekend. They were all very well behaved! Horses get there teeth done every 6months to a year. This is because their teeth keep growing and can get sharp points, this could then cut there cheeks. They also like us can get tartar build up, chipped teeth etc.

In this photo you can see Blue has a Speculum mouth gag on this is to keep his mouth open while the dentist is having a look around. the dentist is using a float rasp this will file any sharp edges off.
